The real all-in cost, with one trip

All-on-4 usually takes one trip (plan around 5–7 days; many patients finish in a few days), so budget for one return flight and one hotel stay. These are estimates for one person from an east-coast capital:

One archBoth arches
Treatment (starting price)from ~$10,000from ~$20,000
Return flight, one trip$600–$1,200$600–$1,200
Hotel, one stay (~5–7 nights)$300–$1,100$300–$1,100
E-visa (US$25 single entry)~$40~$40
Estimated total~$10,900–$12,300~$20,900–$22,300
Australia, treatment only (published range)$25,000–$45,000~$50,000–$90,000

Not included: meals, travel insurance, time off work, and any bone grafting or extra procedures your scan shows you need. Your quote lists these clearly. Flight prices vary by season and city, and Perth is usually cheaper and shorter. Your exact length of stay is set in your treatment plan. If you choose the optional second visit, add another return flight and hotel stay.

Timeline: one trip, often done in a few days

Before you fly

Send a recent OPG X-ray or CBCT if you have one. We share a provisional plan and written quote, and we recommend you take it to your own dentist.

The trip (plan 5–7 days): implants + fixed teeth

Consultation and CBCT 3D scan at KDA, then surgery, with fixed teeth fitted within 24–72 hours (immediate loading) and a check-up before you fly home.

Healing at home

The implants fuse with the jawbone. Ellie checks in on WhatsApp, and you can do a video review with your dentist if anything feels wrong.

Optional second visit (after 3–6 months)

Some patients return once healed for a final check and, where your dentist recommends it after healing, the permanent bridge, with impressions, try-in and adjustments as needed. Your price already includes fixed temporary teeth and the final bridge. You fly home with your records, X-rays and written warranties.

Fast, flexible, and looked after

Often completed in a few days

Treatment, including full-mouth work, is often completed in a few days, from the first X-ray to the final fitting. Your written plan confirms the exact timeline for your case.

Open until 8 PM & Sunday mornings

The clinic is flexible, with appointments until 8 PM and on Sunday mornings. That suits business travellers fitting treatment around work.

18 months of free follow-up care

When you return, you get 18 months of free follow-up care at the clinic (check-ups, adjustments, X-rays, cleaning and scaling).

“I had my own full-mouth treatment at our partner clinic, KDA, and it was completed within a few days, from the first X-ray to the end.” — VietSmile founder

Risks and aftercare: the fair picture

The Australian Dental Association's policy statement advises Australians to have elective dental treatment at home. It cites difficult follow-up, communication and consent problems, possible lack of insurance cover and recourse, and repairs that can be hard or costly back in Australia. It also recommends speaking to an Australian dentist before going overseas. We think that advice deserves to be taken seriously, especially for full-arch work.

What we do about it: you get a written treatment plan and quote before you fly, so you can show them to your own dentist. Planning uses a CBCT 3D scan at KDA, with Straumann or Nobel Biocare implants, which are widely supported brands. Ellie interprets at every appointment, and you leave with your full records and X-rays. For problems at home, our guarantee sets out the video review, warranty and local-repair terms. That reduces the risks, but it doesn't remove them. Travel insurance usually excludes planned treatment, and an Australian dentist may still need to see you.

Australian context: fund rules and direct flights

Published Australian price guides: Odontologie lists about A$3,000–$7,000 per implant with crown, porcelain veneers at A$1,000–$2,500 per tooth and All-on-4 at A$20,000–$35,000+ per arch (Odontologie (Australian practice cost guide)); EVP Dental lists single implants from A$4,641 including implant, abutment and zirconia crown (EVP Dental).

Most Australian extras policies pay nothing for treatment received outside Australia — Bupa and Peoplecare say so in their policy documents — so overseas work is generally self-funded. Extras limits are also modest: Peoplecare’s example extras product pays 60% for major dental up to a combined $1,000 a year.

Vietnam Airlines flies daily nonstop to Ho Chi Minh City from Melbourne and Sydney, and three times a week from Perth (Vietnam Airlines winter 2026 schedule); other cities usually connect through one of those or an Asian hub.
